Parks and Recreation is very busy the month of April and it is all to benefit YOU! We have so much to offer and we are asking for your support by either registering for our specialty classes or participating in two of our Signature Events.
Celebration of Spring- April 11, from 9:00 a.m.- noon at the Posse Grounds Park multi-use field. This free admission event will have inflatable toys, face painting, petting zoo, interactive local vendors and of course an Easter egg hunt! The egg hunt is for children 7 years old and younger and will begin at 10:00 a.m., but the rest of the fun will continue on until noon. Don’t miss it!
Earth Day Celebration- April 18, from 9:00 a.m.through 1:00 p.m. at the Posse Grounds Park upper softball field. This also is a free admission event and will have vendors on site demonstrating products that are earth friendly. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the activities and live music. There will be organized children’s games at 11:00 a.m. It is sure to be fun and educational.
Dogs are allowed on leashes, but please pick up after your pet.
Astronomy, Dance, Music, Tennis, Language, Art- We are accepting registration right now for our new offerings of spring classes. You haven’t seen this sort of selection from our Parks and Recreation Department before and we need your participation in order to be able to keep offering this type of programming for our community. Please register for the class of your choice by April 23 as the spring session begins the week of April 27! More info
Pool
The Sedona Community Pool is open for business. Limited spring hours are available Monday through Saturday until May 23 when the pool will open for summer. Spring Pre Season schedule is Monday through Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. for adult lap swim and Recreation Swim on Saturday’s from 9:00 a.m. to noon.
