Grasshopper Basketball League is off to a great start for 1st – 4th grades. The season, which kicked off on January 3rd , is a success for all participants. Have fun athletes, and get ready 5th and 6th graders because it’s your turn next. Registration is now being accepted for 5th and 6th graders until January 30. Two clinics will be held this month on the 13 and 27, contact Parks and Rec for more information.
Adult Volleyball League will begin January 29th through April 2nd. Games are held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays at West Sedona School.. Sign up a team today or just register yourself and be placed on a team. This league is fun, slightly competitive, and an all around good time for those of you who enjoy volleyball. Show up during drop in open gym night on Tuesday and Thursday at 7 p.m. at West Sedona School to register.
Road Trips for Sedona Youth- Parks and Recreation have been working with an enthusiastic Youth Task Force at Sedona Red Rock High School to create fun activities for Sedona’s teens. Weather prevailing we will be able to offer a snow ski trip in February and a Paint Ball trip in March. All interested youth ages 13-18 can contact Parks and Recreation for more information. Prices and dates are still being set, so look for more information in February or on the Parks and Recreation website.
Amenities- Did you know that Parks and Recreation has many amenities at Posse Grounds Park? A horseshoe court, Dog Park, Skateboard Park, sand volleyball court and exercise court are just a few amenities, along with many other facilities for your enjoyment. Start out 2009 right by spending time outdoors!
